Cruise from Zadar to Dubrovnik with Rhapsody
Small ship cruises along the charming Croatian coastline and islands on lavishly designed, fully air-conditioned vessels with spacious en-suite cabins. The itinerary features sightseeing experiences on fixed departure dates, with visits to Zadar, Krka National Park, Šibenik, Trogir, Hvar, Vis, Korčula, and Dubrovnik. Enjoy seven unforgettable days cruising on the southern Adriatic Sea from one island to another with the small ship cruiser. Relax and let the captain, the crew and our tour manager take care of you. Spend mornings relaxing on spacious decks and sunbathing or swimming in the Adriatic Sea. Afternoons and evenings are carefully planned for you to explore Croatia's finest destinations with local experts.
Check-in begins at 14:00h. Meet your crew and fellow travelers over a welcome cocktail, followed by a guided walking tour of Zadar, a city rich in historical and cultural significance. Discover the 1st-century Roman Forum, the iconic 9th-century Church of St. Donatus, majestic city walls and the 16th-century City Gate. Admire over 30 churches, palaces, and villas nestled in the Old Town, along with modern marvels like the Sea Organ, which plays music powered by the sea, and the solar-powered “Greeting to the Sun” light installation. Dinner on board and overnight in the port of Zadar.
Start your day with a scenic cruise south, enjoying breakfast on board and a refreshing swim stop en route to Skradin. From here, visit the stunning Krka Waterfalls National Park, a lush oasis of cascading waters and serene trails. Return to the ship for lunch as you cruise toward Šibenik, one of the oldest Croatian cities on the Adriatic. Join a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed Cathedral of St. James and explore the historic town core, a maze of stone alleyways and waterfront charm. In the evening, dine at your leisure in one of Šibenik’s inviting local restaurants
Cruise towards Trogir, often referred to as a “miniature Venice” and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With over 3,000 years of history, Trogir is a living gallery of Romanesque and Renaissance architecture. Join a guided tour to explore its captivating streets and historic landmarks. In the evening, the town glows under the starlit sky as you enjoy a Captain’s Dinner on board, accompanied by live music—a perfect celebration of the journey so far.
Set sail for the sunniest and longest island in the Adriatic—Hvar. Enjoy lunch on board and a swim stop at the Pakleni Islands, a charming archipelago just off Hvar’s coast. Upon arrival, take a guided walking tour of Hvar Town, where highlights include the Renaissance Cathedral, its original bell tower, and Europe’s oldest community theatre, founded in 1612. Hike up to the hilltop fortress for breathtaking views of the harbour and surrounding islands. Evening is free to explore Hvar’s buzzing nightlife, with an abundance of restaurants, bars, and cafés.
Today’s journey starts with an early morning cruise to Biševo Island to visit the spectacular Blue Cave, a natural phenomenon best experienced in the morning light (entrance fee payable on the spot). After this unforgettable stop, continue to the island of Vis, known for its unspoiled beauty and unique history. Once a Yugoslav naval base, Vis remained off-limits to tourists for decades, preserving its authenticity—“the Mediterranean as it once was”. The town of Vis, located on the island’s northern side, grew near the remains of ancient Issa, the first urban settlement in Croatia. In the afternoon, enjoy a wine tasting at a family-owned winery, uniquely situated in a former military tunnel, where a long tradition of winemaking continues.
Depart Vis early and cruise towards the island of Korčula, best known as the birthplace of Marco Polo. Stop for a swim and enjoy lunch in a secluded bay along the way. Arrive in Korčula Town in the afternoon, a beautifully preserved medieval city surrounded by centuries-old stone walls. Join a guided walking tour to explore the town’s charming streets, arranged in a distinctive herringbone pattern designed for natural protection from wind and sun. Korčula is rich in legends, culture, and architecture, offering plenty to discover. In the evening, explore its vibrant restaurants, cosy wine bars, or lively local nightspots.
There’s no better way to approach Dubrovnik—your final destination—than from the sea. One of the world’s few walled cities on the coast, Dubrovnik is a striking sight. As lunch is served on board, enjoy views of this “heaven on earth,” as described by George Bernard Shaw. Once docked, take a guided tour of the Old Town, followed by free time to explore at your own pace. Walk the 1,940-metre-long stone walls, ride the cable car to Srđ Mountain (ticket included) for panoramic views of the city and Elaphiti Islands, or dive into one of the town’s fascinating museums like Sponza Palace or the Rector’s Palace.
Gather for one final breakfast on board, then say your goodbyes to the crew and fellow travellers. Disembark in Dubrovnik, bringing home unforgettable memories of your Adriatic journey.
